MICRO CURRENT THERAPY

Electricity in various forms has been used for pain relief for over 50 years as it inhibits the signals of sensory nerves. The original machines used currents that resulted in their being limited in their usefulness, and could have side effects.

Normally, electrical exchanges take place in all the body’s cells, and because the natural law of electricity says that electricity must take the path of least resistance, the body’s electrical current will move around an injury or defect rather than through it. The biologically sensitive stimulation effect of Micro Current Therapy or MCT [sometimes referred to as MENS, Microcurrent Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation] is finely tuned to the level of the cell, and has the ability to pick up where the body’s own electrical current fails, normalizing the activity taking place within the injured cell, as opposed to passing over the cell as other stimulation devices do. These small, therapeutic doses help the body’s own healing ability with no discomfort to the patient. Micro Current uses extremely small pulsating currents of electricity of the order of 100μamps, well below the level of human sensation. It would take one million micro current machines to light a 40 watt light bulb, which emphasizes the minuteness of the electrical currents used in micro current therapy!

Doctors and physical therapists all over the world have been using Micro Current to relieve pain and heal injured muscles, tendons, wounds and a myriad of injuries and ailments for the past fifteen years.

This therapy is now available as a discreet, comfortable wrap which is worn over the painful area. For those with longstanding pain due to arthritis or other chronic conditions, the pain wrap may be a life enhancing experience, allowing you to resume those normal activities that have been so restricted in the past! Wraps are available for the back, knee, [both illustrated], neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and ankle.
